As Europe's largest telecommunications company, Deutsche Telekom has over 200,000 employees worldwide. The company serves around 168 million mobile customers, including private, corporate and business customers.

Brief

Once a year, Deutsche Telekom invites over 1,000 managers from all over the world to the “Telekom Management Team Meeting” in Bonn. There, they have the opportunity to discuss topics relevant to the Group. The TMTM is considered to be one of the most important internal meetings at Deutsche Telekom and is considered as a highlight by its participants.

Staging

For the TMTM, the World Conference Center in Bonn carried extensive Deutsche Telekom branding and the building was bathed in Deutsche Telekom’s corporate magenta from floor to ceiling. Translucent, cube-shaped plastic water tanks were eye-catching decorative elements that could be found throughout the event area. Illuminated from within, they formed part of the stage set or accented the overall design when they were suspended from the ceiling above the hall, for example. Arranged like scattered pixels from an arcade game, these shimmering magenta cubes perfectly reflected TMTM’s “Agile Arcade” theme.

Result

POOLgroup’s detailed planning and meticulous execution paid off: The extraordinary design was perfectly staged due to detailed coordination and logistical planning centred around POOLgroup’s technical and design equipment.

When creating the impressive design with the translucent water tanks, special attention had to be paid to the statics and the floor load. This ultimately created an inspiring atmosphere that encouraged the exchange of views, ideas and visions.
